Crown Trifari Magnolia Flower White Poured Glass Choker Necklace & Earrings

A Southern Belle's delight! The necklace is shown in a 1953 advertisement on p. 202 of Julia C. Carroll's "Costume Jewelry 202," Called "Magnolia," the dimensional poured glass flower petals are framed in gold-tone metal with round white glass beads mounted on head pins for the stamens. Two of the pretty blossoms perch on a gold-tone branch for the focal piece of the white glass bead necklace, while a single magnolia adorns each clip back earring. They are springtime captured in glass!

Necklace length is 16"; width of central piece is 1 ½" north-south, 2 ¼" east-west, and ¾" deep; beads are ¼" in diameter. Earrings are 1 ¼" in diameter and ½" deep. There is mild wear to the gold-tone metal of these pieces, a bit more so on the earrings. One petal on each earring has a thin, tight hairline surface crack. One of these petals also has a bit of crazing on the back. Earrings have standard clip backs that work well. Both earrings are marked Trifari with a crown over the "T" on the clip mechanism. The font used has the "T" with serifs and the rest of the letters smaller than the "T".

The necklace is marked Trifari with a crown and "Pat. Pend." on the inner surface of the hook closure. I was unable to get a clear photo of that mark due to its location. The font of the signature is sans serif block letters and all the letters are the same size. This set is in good to very good vintage condition.
