Crown Trifari Brushed Gold Tone & Clear Rhinestone Sea Anemone Brooch Pin & Earrings Set

This bold demi parure by Trifari reminds me of sea anemones--or pinwheels! For the brooch, brushed gold tone metal tubular cone shapes swirl outwards in two layers from a central clear rhinestone chaton. Each cone is tipped with its own smaller clear chaton. The clip earrings consist of a combination of 2 and 4 cones, all tipped with a clear rhinestone chaton. A vintage advertisement for this set in a multicolor rhinestone version does exist, but I’ve been unable to locate it again. From the style and the materials, I would say this set dates from the 1960s-1970s.

Brooch: 2" in diameter, almost ½" in depth. Largest stone is about 6mm or ¼" in diameter. Pin stem and safety catch are in good working order. Marked Trifari in block letters with a crown over the T and a copyright symbol in a rectangular cartouche. Earrings: 1 1/8" long by ¾" wide by ¼" deep. Clip mechanisms are in good working order. Marked Trifari in block letters with a crown over the T and a copyright symbol on each clip mechanism. Stones are all glued in and sparkling. There is minimal wear to this set and it is in excellent vintage condition.
