I'm so pleased to be able to offer this marvelous bracelet by Matisse Renoir. The design is called "Polaris," after the North Star, and it is easy to see why, with clear granules of frit scattered over a metallic green enamel background, giving it a Milky Way effect. Six bluish-green glass "cookies" add even more texture and depth, making one think of the Northern Lights. The enamel panels are enclosed in a hinged copper clamper bracelet. It is as breathtaking as a starry winter sky.

Width at widest point--1 1/8". Inside diameter--6 ½". Depth--1/4". Hinge opens fully and is in good working condition. There is a little bit of wear to the copper on the edges of one side. Signed "Matisse Renoir" with a copyright symbol, this bracelet is in very good vintage condition.
