This is a wonderful 1940's English sterling silver bird of prey pin. The pin measures 3 inches across. It appears to be an Eagle or Hawk carrying a fish. The pin is accented with pave set marcasites. It is marked with the makers mark FNW (each letter is stamped in its own circle) and also hallmarked with an anchor (Birmingham essay mark), a lion (the English sterling standard mark), and a capital letter Y (for 1948). The pin is in excellent condition.
