This is an antique (late 1800's to early 1900's) Scottish silver citrine enamel brooch. The craftsmanship is outstanding. It has a large faceted citrine stone in the center that measures about 12mm across. The large stone is prong set in the center of a highly detailed raised silver setting that is also surrounded by ornate enamel work. It has a combination of deep blue and white enamel. The white enamel is in perfect condition and the blue enamel has a very tiny little chip to the outside ring by one of the etched silver flowers. The citrine has one small fracture in the stone that you can see in the third photo. The pin measures 1 1/2 inches across. It has its original C clasp with a tiny loop on the back for adding a safety pin for extra security if one desires. It does not have any markings. It is an exceptional piece of Scottish jewelry in excellent antique condition.
