1950s TRIFARI Red Rhinestone Dangle Brooch

This darling articulated brooch by Alfred Philippe appears to be made of golden Trifanium, Trifari's patented alloy invented in 1948, but in certain bright lights I'd swear it was silver, and I don't know if that's deliberate on the part of the designer or hallucinatory on the part of the dealer. But the brilliant red oval rhinestone drops always retain their ruby richness, and the gorgeous swirling branches of the brooch dance festively, just in time for the holidays to come. The pin is 2-3/4" high x 1-1/2" wide at its "skirt" and in immaculate vintage condition. Signed Trifari with a crown and a copyright symbol, dating it to post-1955.
