Sweet & Juicy TRIFARI Rhinestone Cherries Brooch

What a horrible photo of such a lovely little thing ~ I'm ashamed to put it out there, but it will have to suffice until the lighting is just right to take a better one. These perfect little red cherries are not the work of nature but of Trifari's head designer, Alfred Philippe, in the early '60s. The artful juxtaposition of brushed and polished goldtone make the leaves and stem as realistic as any you'll see on a tree, and the two cherries are completely covered with tiny pavé bright red rhinestones that make them look full and ready to burst with juice, not desiccated and dull as they appear in the photo. The pin is 1-1/2" high x 1" wide and in excellent condition. Signed Trifari with a crown and a copyright symbol.
