This sweet foliate pin dates to ca. 1900, and its design is full of motion, with a pattern of serrated leaves sweeping as if windblown all around the elongated open-backed fuchsia oval stone. The brooch measures 1-3/4" wide x 7/8" high and is in excellent condition; however, it does fasten with an early C-clasp and tends to come loose, so you might want to have your jeweler tighten up the pin stem to give it better tension.
