Old Chinese Enamel on Sterling Ring with Coral Cabochon Stone

This lovely ring was made in China in the early-mid 20th century. The stone is genuine salmon coral, and a pair of butterflies are done in cloisonne on either side in brilliant shades of aqua blue and vivid green along the sides. Marked CHINA and something else that's probably 925 for sterling silver ~ there is nothing quite so painful as reading the inside of a ring with bad eyesight, loupe or no loupe ~ who designed these dang eyes, anyway? They should have recalled them years ago! Another thing they should have recalled is the human spine, which any physical therapist will tell you was incorrectly designed for walking upright. You don't believe me, ask my pain management guy. But the ring is about a size 7-1/2, which is my size, and I find it quite comfortable to wear. It's in absolutely magnificent condition, and since I want it to stay that way I promise to put it away and not wear it any more. Scout's honor!
