Chinese Enamel on Sterling Silver Purple Flower Post Earrings

No one, in my opinion, did enamelwork like the Chinese, as evidenced yet again by these big old Chinese enamel and gold on sterling floral post earrings. The metalwork alone shows their patient attention to detail ~ each of the five petals that make up each earring are individually made and joined at the center for a very realistic three dimensions. The earrings measure 3/4" in diameter and are in mint condition. There are markings on the back but I can't make them out.
