Late Georgian Clasped hands Fede Clasp Gold Bracelet, fancy repose Chain!

For your consideration is a unique antique bracelet. When found, this beautiful chain was too long to be a bracelet, but too short to be a chain, so I had my jeweler make it into a bracelet. The link of the bracelet appears surprisingly modern, but those familiar with antique chains know that the chains of today have borrowed their patterns from antique chains- except that a modern chain wouldn't feature the lovely little repose links spaced between!

This bracelet is generously sized at 7 7/8" of wearable length. The clasp was a common motif of the 1820's and 30's. It represented "fede" or "faith" and was also a popular ring design. The clasp is hollow and the fancy shapes on the chain are also hollow repose. I left the jump rings at the ends of the dangling chains in case someone wanted to add a turquoise or coral bead.
