It bears hallmarks which indicate its origin- the dog head and capitol A for Austria. It is silver with a gold gilding, which has mellowed with age. A few of the tiny turquoise appear to be possible replacements (the paler blue?) but overall, this brooch is in very good condition. It measures 1 1/2" across and 1 1/4" long. Very sweet!
