These authentic 18k (jeweler tested) Victorian earrings feature black enamelling. They are of hollow construction and hence, very light on the ear. They were missing their ear wires when found, so I purchased the best quality 14k wires that I could find to complete them. They measure 1 3/4" in length including the wires. The top and bottom center holes were worn thin, so I had my jeweler re enforce them, adding years of wearing enjoyment. The enamel was repaired on one earring, and as you can see in the enlarged pictures it was well done and not noticeable, but mentioned for accuracy.
