Wonderful Victorian Pave Turquoise Pearl Silver Cornucopia Brooch

This brooch boasts the color and attention to detail which defined the jewelry of its era! Themes taken from nature were very popular in the 1880s. This appears to be a cornucopia with a blue cornflower and a sprout of another flower (this is the design- nothing has broken off)

This brooch is very well made. It is not merely two dimensional but curves outward at the center. It has a curious hallmark on the original c clasp which is a capitol A flanked by a tiny A on the left and a line extending up from the right side of the central A (crossed on top like a T) It measures 1 3/4" in length.
