1920's Aunt Polly Berry Bowl Set

This beautiful berry bowl set is in the hard-to-find Aunt Polly pattern. Aunt Polly was produced by U.S. Glass Company in the late 1920's. The set is in excellent condition with little or no indications of use and showing only the common roughness along the seams on each of the bowls. Gene Florence states in his Encyclopedia of Depression Glass that "Aunt Polly, like most U.S. Glass patterns, suffers from excessive mould roughness at the seams. This is off putting to some collectors. However, most accept it as a normal characteristic of the pattern, along with its earlier, turn of the century, appearance".
