Here is an old chimney cover that is especially interesting to me. On its face is a depiction of the Natchez, a steamboat of historical significance, which plied the waters of the Mississippi between New Orleans and St. Louis, Missouri. In June 1870, the Natchez competed against the Rob't E. Lee in what became the most famous steamboat race of all time. The Natchez lost the race, but its participation assured it a place in history. The chimney cover is rusted, especially on the back, but the front is fairly rust-free. The clean lines of the Natchez are clear. Shipping will be discounted on multiple orders.
