Here is a darling Valentine's Day card from 1927. The top half of the front of the card is a fold-down cut-out of a boy with a valentine behind his back at the gate of his sweetheart. The card is cleverly designed so that when the fold-out is back in the closed position, the boy is looking at the girl from a much greater distance (see pictures). The message on the card reads "As fair and sweet as the heart of a rose are my thoughts of you in each hour that goes". It was given to Geraldine Larson from Clara Crocker in 1927. The card is in very good condition with no more than normal aging to the paper. The card is tiny, measuring only 3 1/4" by 2 1/2".
