For the bird lover or collector of anything to do with owls, here is a beautifully painted work on masonite, 23" by 19" and 4" of frame and liner, wall-ready, signed at lower left by noted contemporary British wildlife and sporting art painter KEN TURNER. Turner has his own website, on which are displayed other beautiful contemporary works depicting scenes of the countryside, which is a specialty of the artist. His website says he has been compulsively painting wildlife and the outdoors since age 7. Turner has been represented by various galleries in London's prestigious Bond Street and Cork Street fine art district. The Sultan of Oman owns his art, and paintings have been sold at Christie's South Kensington auction house. The artist actually lives on a narrow canal boat, to be closer to the natural world he paints. This work is in immaculate condition. It bears a label on the reverse indicating it was once handled by the well regarded Poulsen Gallery in Pasadena, CA.
