European art quality vintage oil painting of Tyrolean young lady signed

Oil on canvas laid on board, 14" by 11" and 3 1/2" wide frame, signed at lower rigth "C. DE VRIES". This is a quality work showing a young woman of southern Germany, or other alpine regions, holding in her had a typical felt hat of the area, a window at rear letting in natural light that beautifully illuminates the subject. I have researched this name and very surprisingly cannot find any listing that would seem to correspond to the name. Nevertheless, the work is by a very talented artist and it should be a welcome addition to any collection of European art. Condition is good. The painting can be placed on the wall as is.
