Oil on about 1/4 of a canvasboard, 7" by 8" (11" by 12" as framed), signed on reverse in pencil "Helen Hamilton". Hamilton was a talented artist who worked in the eastern states in the impressionist and post-impressionist style, painting landscapes in all seasons as well as seascapes. She worked in New Hope, Pennsylvania, Maine and other art centers. In recent years her large paintings have been auctioned at Shannon's in Connecticut for over $4,000. She was exhibited at the National Academy of Design, the Pennsylvania Academy, and at the Whitney Museum of American Art. She is listed in Gerdt's landmark book "Art Across America", as well as in Falk's "Who Was Who in American Art". The frame is contemporary but has a nice look to it and is in excellent condition. This is ready for the wall. SEE HUNDREDS OF OTHER WORKS NOW IN MY SHOP.
