This is a spectacular watercolor painting of flowers like iris, lupine and nasturtium (?) by a listed artist from Scotland. Ms. Cowan-Douglas was obviously a skilled and talented painter but I've not been able to find a lot of information about her. This measures 21" by 28 1/4" with a 1 3/4" frame, and on the reverse is an old Edinburgh label and a title, "June Symphony". This is in beautiful fresh, unfaded condition. The signature is at lower left along with the date of execution, 1948. Frame is original and has some wear on the edges. SEE HUNDREDS OF OTHER WORKS NOW IN MY SHOP.
