LOUVERTURE POISSON (1914-1985) well listed Haitian art village painting

Oil on canvas, 24" by 16" and 2 1/2" wide interesting finely grooved wood frame with African style striped tiger pattern, signed at lower right "Poisson"/Haiti. This is a peaceful scene of four villages at their typical activities under a tree, wit a path disappearing into the background. The artist's works sell at live auction and Poisson is listed in most publications dealing with Haitian artists. I'd guess the age as circa 1960's or 1970's. Canvas used is a thin cotton-style weave.
