Watercolor on paper, 11" by 15", unframed, showing a moody coastal seascape in modern style, signed at lower left by listed French-born California artist GUY DE BOUTHILLIER. The artist was born in Paris and early in life studied with no less than Monet, Picasso, and Sargent. By 1932, he was in Los Angeles. Today he is noted for his skills in watercolor.
