Watercolor on paper, 19 1/2" by 25" with 1" frame, showing a pathway in a park-like landscape of blossoming trees in the spring, signed at lower right by British mid twentieth century artist REX F. HOPES. I can't find any information on the artist, surprising considering the quality of the work, which is definitely by a trained and skilled hand. The seller told me it was an English artist, and I did find one example of a painting by him for sale at a small English country auction. As such I am offering it at a price consistent with its highly decorative qualities. Condition is excellent.
