Beautifully drawn chalk and charcoal drawing of a young girl, 17 1/2" by 13 1/2" inside the mat (26" by 21" as framed), signed at lower right boldly "STORR". A Ruby Lane customer has kindly let me know that his work was executed by Sherman Storr, a talented artist, author and musician who lived in the La Jolla area of San Diego, passing away about 9-10 years ago.The work reminds me of the mural style of Diego Rivera or Ramos Martinez---especially Ramos Martinez. I am amazed that I can't seem to find any information on the artist. The piece was found in San Diego. The drawing is on a thin type of paper. Upon close examination one can see slight waviness of that paper in the background area. If anyone knows who this artist is, please let me know! Email me with any questions.
