Original poster print by the major pop artist RICHARD LINDNER (1901-1978), 30 1/4" by 23 1/4", unframed, issued in 1969 for an exhibition of the artist's works at the University Art Museum, University of California in Berkeley. The exhibition ran from June 17 to July 27 of that year. In the lower left corner appears "Approved for posting/remove 28 July". Lindner is one of the stars of Pop Art, his major, large paintings soaring to over $400,000 at Sotheby's auctions. His style is a unique mix of the surreal, fantasy, bright colors.......see the net for a lot more on this major artist. This particular image appears to depict Dick Tracy, one of the most recognizable images of the 20th century. Condition is generally excellent, with just a tiny edge nick at left (see my thumbnail for size reference), and a light handling crease at upper right. The poster was likely rolled at one time as it seems to want to roll naturally. It would best be shipped rolled as well. Email me with questions. Shipping wizard figures are guesstimates.
