CURRIER & IVES "The Road---Winter" restrike vintage lithograph print hand coloring

This appears to be a restrike, (perhaps from the Andres 1942 restrikes), of one of the better known Currier prints. It is a quality restrike, however----a major step up from an offset modern shiny example. Someone talented spent considerable time applying hand coloring, especially to the sled, figures, horses and trees. The size inside the frame is 20 3/4" by 27 3/4". The print was apparently laid down on a board a long time ago. Condition is excellent with possibly only a bit of edge crinkling at extreme lower right corner, really not significant. I don't see any foxing or water damage. Photos were taken at angles to try to minimize reflections, but some nevertheless crept into the photos, so please allow for them. This is one of Currier and Ives' most famous and desirable images, the original 19th century version selling for many thousands of dollars at print and Americana auctions. If you can't afford that and don't want a modern junky repro, consider this example. Wood frame is simple and has a few dings, one in the beading, but it's really quite serviceable and you probably won't need to reframe unless you want to. Shipping wizard figures are guesstimates.
