**ONE OF TWO WORKS I'M OFFERING BY THE ARTIST (see also JB01264)**Etching on paper, 7 1/8" by 10 1/8" inside the mat (11 3/4" by 14 1/4" as framed), signed in pencil at lower left by noted western American artist GEORGE ELBERT BURR (1859-1939). At lower right is written "Del. et Imp." (Latin for drawn and printed, roughly). Burr's etchings and watercolors of the Great Southwest, especially Arizona and Colorado, are eagerly sought after by collectors. This example, depicting a moated, turreted castle seems to date to an earlier period in his life, when he was traveling in Europe. There are auction records for prints of Italian scenes. Condition is very good with just normal paper oxidation. Shipping wizard figures are guesstimates. SEE HUNDREDS OF OTHER WORKS NOW IN MY SHOP.
