Decorative vintage American wildlife art painting of male elk in the mountains

For the outdoorsman/hunter or collector of wildlife and sporting art, here is a nicely executed oil on canvas painting, measuring 14" by 11", unframed, showing a male elk in full antler glory, in a Rock Mountain type setting, standing in a pool of water near a lake. The painting has a pleasing luminosity from the pinkish orange light. The initials C M R appear at lower right but this is not a work by Charles Russell. It appears to date from about 1950. Put a frame on this and possibly clean it for best viewing as there is a dusty and dry surface that would most definitely benefit from varnish. SEE HUNDREDS OF OTHER WORKS NOW IN MY SHOP.
