This is a circa mid 20th century still life lithograph of a pineapple, pomegranate and other fruit, signed in brown ink at lower right and numbered 41/90 at lower left by noted School of Paris artist ROGER CHAPELAIN-MIDY (1904-1992). This is a lithograph with color, signed at lower right in pencil "Marc Chagall" and bearing the notation at lower left "H.C." (hors commerce). The measurements of the Arches paper sheet are approximately 25 1/2" by 18 1/2". Note the two deckled (raw, ragged style) edges of the heavy paper, which bears an Arches watermark at lower right and a blindstamp at lower left that looks like a stylized "AP".
