REDUCED Nippon Geisha Girl Tea Set ~ OUTSTANDING

This is just simply a gorgeous hand painted tea set from Nippon. It includes a squat lidded teapot, covered sugar and creamer. The teapot measures 5 ¼” high to the top of the finial and is 8” from spout to handle. The lidded sugar is 4 ½’ to the top of the finial by 5 ¾” from handle to handle and the creamer is 3 ¼” to the top of the spout by 5” from spout to handle. So you can see that this tea set is a really nice size. The artist of this set has certainly captured the scenes which depict Japanese life with bold and bright colors. The handles and trim are rusty orange with gold accents. The trees with foliage of moss green and the background with pale blue mountains, are just breathtaking. The geisha girl’s costumes are very striking and highlighted with gold. All pieces are in fine condition however, the sugar has a very tight hairline that is only on the back so it would not show on display. This hairline runs up to the rim as shown in the photos and is reflected in the price. All in all, this is set is absolutely stunning and certainly much more beautiful in person.
