This Tea Caddy has a radiant warmth that exudes from it. The mahogany veneer was cut beautifully for the front and top panels to maximize light and the woods movement...in a fire-flickering-feathered pattern (see close up photo). The side and back cuts are slightly darker in a warm fashion. The two brass ball front feet have a groove cut around their middle, whereas the back two ball feet are plain. The caddy has nicks and bumps that are characteristic with its age. The original lock appears to have been removed and a smaller one put in...the extra space was filled with wood and later, a putty like material. The internal holding areas are painted silver/tin and the buttons on the lift off tops are new replacements.
