Whoaa. That was my first response to this stunning box. The silver and bronzed deep relief is visually grabbing. The top features a Wolf prowling through the woods. The front features a wild boar being attacked by two hunting dogs and a third is bounding in to help. The back has a stag (deer) being attacked by another hunting dog and a two more dogs are on the way to help.

The inside is silk tufted in royal purple. Aside from the feet being slightly bent in, it is in very good condition. Found in England. c.1870 Measures: 3 3/4" Wide, 3" High and 3" Deep.

This would give any hunter an ear-to-ear grin on Christmas morning.
