Amethyst Strawberry and Current Compote ca 1950's

This beautiful amethyst compote was made by Fenton Glass for L.G. Wright in the 1950’s. Fenton made a large amount of L. G. Wright pieces and they often confuse the casual collector because Fenton would use some of the molds from their own items and just make them in different colors for L.G. Wright.

This piece is called a Strawberry and Current Nut Dish and although Fenton never carried this item in their stock it definitely has that unmistakable Fenton style.

This piece has alternating patterns of strawberries and currents and is finished with a scalloped edge. This beauty stands 5 ½” high and is in excellent condition.
