This beautiful Cameo Glass Egg is truly amazing. I believe it was made by Gibson Glass but I am not certain. Cameo Glass was first made by selecting two compatible piece of glass. These two pieces of glass would be blown one layer over the other. Then the artist would trace on the design and cover the area that was to remain with beeswax or some other acid resistant substance. The vessel would be dipped into acid, which would eat the top layer away revealing the bottom layer of glass with the ...
