It is designed in an overlay style but most overlay bracelets have a plain back that has been oxidized but the back of this piece has been finely etched giving it thousands of tiny lines and then it was oxidized so they create a stunning background for the top layer. We have 2 of these from an estate where the couple had traveled to Italy and purchased them as gifts.
