Thank You For Stopping By!! We Offer Lovely Estate Jewelry For Every Budget & Every Family Member!
The tear-shaped drop hangs a full 1 1/2" from the ornate child-shaped center and has a faceted tear-shaped aquamarine that is approximately 5 mm in length. Surrounding this stunning stone is a row of graduated genuine seed pearls. They are a grey/blue in color and set in a 14K gold casing. This wonderful pendant is suspended from a gold bar that features 4 more of these exquisite grey/blue seed pearls with two larger white seed pearls on either end and is marked on the reverse 14K with Arrow.
The center portion features four tiny dark grey seed pearls joined to the bar supporting the round aquamarine which represents the head of a small child atop gold bar arms and torso with 4 of the tiny blue/grey seed pearls and then a leg on either side with a tiny seed pearl in each.
The delicate gold chain is 7" long on one side and then 7 3/4" long on the other with a manual spring-ring clasp closure.
This unique and exquisite necklace is double marked with an arrow and 14K. During the Victorian era, arrows were a symbol of being "wounded" by love which reconfirms this delicate lavalier was most likely a piece of mourning jewelry.
This wonderful Victorian piece was examined by a local jeweler who confirmed that genuine aquamarines and seed pearls were used.
Here is your opportunity to add this remarkable piece of history to your jewelry collection.
Insured Shipping cost anywhere in the USA or Canada is $12 for this lovely necklace.
