SOLD Large 19C Brass and Crystal Astral Lamp

We offer this beautiful late 1800's Astral lamp with very large 7" crystal prisms we found at a recent high end estate sale. The lamp was electrified at some point and works well. The lamp base is a marble slab beneath three elaborate brass legs. This has the original wheel cut and acid finished shade with a grape and vine pattern. The original blown glass chimney is present as well. The stem of the lamp is brass with some nice relief details, The top of the font has a small age crack that does not in any way detract from the look or use of the lamp.

The lamp measures almost 30" tall with the chimney in place. Measures 10" at it's widest point. The original chimney has a small tight hair line crack at the top. I have a newer replacement that is frosted, but much shorter, That I will include if you choose. The shade has a 17 1/2" fitter and is in excellent condition. No chips, or scratches to the finish. The 18 large prisms are the size you would see on lusters. They look to be original, But there are about 4 different styles. They all are the same length, and I really didn't notice until closer inspection. I'm not sure if this was intentional or not. They work fine together though. The brass has an aged patina with some spots of tarnishing in places. Overall the lamp is in very good condition. This is quite a rare large size for an Astral style lamp. This would look perfect in a Victorian era setting.
