Antique Brass Argand Astral Lamp

We offer this beautiful antique brass argand or astral lamp that dates to the early 20th C. This was converted to electric years ago. The lamp has (24) 5" long crystal spears that encircle the base of the shade. The crystals look like they are original to the lamp. The heavy brass lamp has a very aged patina. The bright brass finish is all but gone, But the natural brass color looks even better to me. There are no dents or deep scratches in the brass. The lamp has an on/off nob at the bottom of the lamp arm. The wiring has been updated at some point and works fine. The shade is the original frosted cut to clear with a floral, grapes, and leaf pattern. The shade does have some small chips at the base where it fits into the holder, Not seen, and common with old glass shades. The lamp measures 14 1/2" tall and 10 1/2" wide. and weighs in at just under 12 pounds. This would look wonderful on a library or office desk, Or that little table in the corner.
