D&C France Limoges For Higgins and Seiter NY Demitasse Set

Charming antique 8 piece demitasse set manufactured by Delinieres & Co. (D&C) France. 1894-1900. These were decorated by L. Bernardaud & Co. and Imported for The Higgins & Seiter Store of New York. Higgins and Seiter was one of the best and oldest china houses in New York City and was located at 9 East 37th St. The store filed for bankruptcy in 1915 and ceased operations after over 50 years in business. The cups and saucers are marked D&C France L Bernardaud and Co. Limoges, Higgins and Seiter New York. The edges are trimmed in green with life like pink and yellow roses with faint white daisy's in the background on Ivory color porcelain. The cups have gilding on the handles and measure 2.375" tall and 2" wide. The saucers measure 4 5/8". There are no chips, cracks or crazing. This is a beautiful early set that you will be extremely pleased with.
