Early American Pattern Glass is a pressed glass commonly referred to as EAPG, where the pattern was manufactured into a variety of shapes commonly found on the Victorian table. To manufacture pressed glass, the liquid hot glass was squeezed or pressed into a mold that imparted the shape and design of a pattern. Glass was first pressed in the 1830's, and it reached the height of its popularity from 1870 to 1910.
The vase is 9" in height and the opening is 4 1/2" in diameter. The vase and the saw tooth rim is in excellent condition! There is one very small blemish on the base, see photo # 2.
I have used this vase numerous times to hold beautiful spring bouquets for luncheons, and it definitely adds elegance to the table!
