Haviland Schleiger 422 Marseille covered dish, gilt on white, department store mark

This superb early (1888--1896) Haviland Marseille Schleiger 422 gilt-on-white covered dish bears the added bonus of a department store mark for Wright, Tyndale & Van Roden of Philadelphia. There are few things in this world as elegant as fine china, and this blank is far superior to most! This is a large dish measuring about 6 ½ inches tall to the top of the finial, and about nine inches long and across. The gilt detailing is in excellent condition, very minimal loss, and there’s even a gilt trim along the inner body dish. There is a bit of discolored glaze on the lid underside, this is clearly visible in the photo of the mark appearing on the underside lid. Lid and body bear the decor mark in red, body bears also the green white ware mark.
