Rare Haviland & other Limoges, Pickard and Chicago Studios porcelain; hard-to-find blanks, signatures, & decoration. Layaways
Putti, putti, everywhere, and one pours out a drink.
Sincere apologies to Samuel Taylor Coleridge. If two's company, then this is a crowd, two of these cherubs have quivers of bows and arrows at their feet, the third is emptying the contents of a jar. The cherubs are a transfer decoration and the heavy gilt reserves lend a touch of beauty all their own.
The central image of this factory decorated plate shows little wear and the colors are pretty and fresh, the raised gilt design shows some discoloration and small areas of loss, not bad at all for age of this piece. Plate diameter is just shy of eight inches.
