Courting couple dressed in period costume and wonderfully framed by a raised double gilt border, would make a lovely addition to any boudoir or dressing area. The 8 1/2 inch plate bears the LS & S mark and dates 1890s--mid-1920s. It is free of any chips, cracks, or repairs, there is slight gilt loss to the high points of the border design. Limoges decorated with people is always harder to find than the usual fruits and flowers, and the fancy border makes for such a marvelous display.
