Antique Limoges Pickard urn signed Reury pink clover

$275 USDAntique Limoges Pickard urn signed Reury pink clover

Porcelain:Antique:French:Limoges:Pickard
This gorgeous antique Martial Redon Limoges urn (sans lid) dates from the 1891—1896 era and Pickard artist Howard Reury has once again produced great beauty with his hand painted pink clover blossoms. The Pickard Mark is 5 (1905—1910). No significant damages or paint loss, the urn is not a common object and of course Reury’s signature is highly desirable. Reury was and is famous for his depictions of violets. The pink clover was also a favorite subject for him, and he has done them proud. If you ...
Antique Limoges Stouffer Studio plate signed Arno pink wild roses

$200 USDAntique Limoges Stouffer Studio plate signed Arno pink wild roses

Porcelain:Antique:French:Limoges:Pickard, Chicago Studios
Edith Arno painted this lovely 8 1/2-inch wild roses plate for the Stouffer Studio 100 years ago, and this gorgeous Limoges blank with its raised flowers along the scalloped rim, is one I infrequently find. Alan Reed had a high opinion of her early work for the Stouffer Studio and as this plate dates to 1905 or 1906, it is among her earliest known works. She painted first for Stouffer and Reed remarks that when she later painted for Pickard, her work did not reflect the quality of her work for ...
Antique Limoges Pickard signed Hahn white poppies small Basel jug

$300 USDAntique Limoges Pickard signed Hahn white poppies small Basel jug

Porcelain:Antique:French:Limoges:Pickard
Glorious and dreamy rendition of white poppies, not the everyday subject, on a blank seldom seen, this beautiful small jug is identified by Alan Reed in his Pickard book as a Basel jug. Charles Hahn (signed here as C. Hahn) was one of the earliest Pickard artists, he later painted for White's Art Company. Here he has painted the entire surface of the jug, and the deep greens of the poppy leaves are lovely against the yellow and pale blue background tints. A closed poppy bud meanders off beneath ...
Antique Pickard Limoges punch bowl, Purple Grapes and Etched Gold Border, artist signed

$895 USDAntique Pickard Limoges punch bowl, Purple Grapes and Etched Gold Border, artist signed

Porcelain:Antique:French:Limoges:Pickard
This beautiful and early antique Pickard Studio Purple Grapes and Etched Gold Border decorated punch bowl dates 1903—1905; I count it as probably the finest piece of antique Pickard ever offered for sale in my shop. Three examples in the Pickard reference book are all signed by John Anton Coufall, and this was said to be his design; I couldn’t find his signature on the bowl, but a close examination of the detail on this bowl, compared to the pictures in the book, reveals that if this was not ...
Antique Limoges Pickard creamer Tomascheko Border signed Tomash

$150 USDAntique Limoges Pickard creamer Tomascheko Border signed Tomash

Porcelain:Antique:French:Limoges:Pickard
Rudolph Tomascheko painted for the Pickard Studio from 1903--1910 and was praised for the beauty and precision of his border designs which combined hand painted flowers with heavy gilt. This gorgeous creamer with high loop handle is his Tomascheko Floral Border design and bears Pickard Mark 5 (1905--1910), first used at the Ravenswood Studio. The lovely blank is a product of the Delinieres Limoges firm, Mark 2 in green, 1894--1900. This blank seems to have been quite popular and is featured in ...
Pickard pitcher signed "FV" Franz Vobornik poppies with gold paste

$325 USDPickard pitcher signed "FV" Franz Vobornik poppies with gold paste

Porcelain:Antique:French:Limoges:Pickard
Artist signed "FV" for Franz Vobornik, who was known for his raised gold paste designs, this Pickard pitcher bears a design of poppies and has no chips, cracks, or repairs. The pitcher is an excellent example of how much can be accomplished with gold against a solid background color as the gold design elements are highly textured. This design could not be found in the Reed book although other examples of gold paste designs signed by Vobornik are there and I assume it may be scarce. There are ...
