These earrings are an absolute delight. I have to say that Victorian jewelry is one of life's true pleasures. I can just see a Victorian lady dressed in all her finery waiting to receive her guests. Her grand prize being these earrings!

Seldom do you see a pair together. Most have been turned into charms or pendants. This glorious pair has been hand made using different karats of gold in each element. From the tiny balls to the decorative leaf adornment all have tested positive for karat gold. You have to wonder if they had been put together with scraps at the end of the day. The skilled craftsman putting good use to all of his bits and pieces. They really are remarkable.

The 14k ear wires are a replacement. They dangle from the bottom of the finding 1-3/4'' and are about 1/4" wide. Each containing 8 tassels.The only issue to mention is that one of the tiny ball ends is missing. They are in excellent condition.
