The Victorians were famous for their hidden codes and meanings. Gems, flowers and words were all used in code to hide thoughts, feelings and attractions. Words like Mother, Baby, Mizpah were all used in code to hide other words. Tricky to decipher because they were used in many countries and languages.

This sweet little pin spells out the word BABY. It is a wonderful collectible of a lost culture. Our lives have gotten so busy and filled with technology that simple pleasures such as this are long forgotten. The little pin appears to be gold fill over brass. It measures 1-1/4" 3/8". It would be absolutely precious pinned to a tiny dress in a newborns first picture. Good condition.
