Treat Yourself To Something Beautiful......We All Need Something Beautiful!
The bracelet itself is 7-3/4" long and 3/8" wide. Hallmarked 9ct. A gold filled spring clasp has been added for a closure. The gold filled heart padlock that may have been the original clasp has been added to the bracelet as a charm. The three ornate seal fobs test positive for gold. The others are all gold filled. To start with the charm at the end is a beautiful repousse locket with hard stone centers. It opens and closes readily and retains both frames. The cube has incredible detail with striking enameled flowers. I am not sure of the significance of the barrel shaped fob. It also has enamel work and incredible detail. . The gold fob next to the barrel has a carnelian cameo of the Soldier. The heart shaped gold seal has been left unscripted. The enchanting Victorian script is on the gold charm next to the locket. My favorite charm has always been the heart. But I have to say next to this historical assortment it has lost my favor.
The romance and history of the heart shape clasp is very touching. Up until 1890 they were often used as betrothal jewelry. This heart is adorned with a beautiful repousse design. It does not open as it is. If you found the fitting key that may be a different story.
This bracelet and it's charms are in very good condition. Each fob is a wonderful piece of jewelry on it's own but grouped together they make an incredible statement of history and craftsmanship.
