Ana Brilanti began designing jewelry in 1940. Her distinctive work is well known and highly sought after. One piece of her famous work includes a necklace designed for Eleanor Roosevelt.Victoria is the brand name given to her jewelry. Plateria Victoria was the first store opened in 1940.In 1958 Cony was opened and named for Ana's eldest daughter. Her pieces were stamped Victoria Cony from 1958-1975.

This pin being offered today is spectacular. A graceful bird in flight with flowing tail feathers. A very dramatic presence at 4-1/2" x 2-1/2". Good vintage condition with minor surface scratching.It is stamped Victoria , Mexico< Taxco, Sterling, Cony, 550 and an Eagle mark. This pin reminds me of the dramatic ritual of exotic birds during the mating season.
