When I first saw this ring I thought Oh My Goodness! I have not seen a Bohemian Garnet Star burst in a ring like this before. After closer examination I realized that it is a marriage. They have taken a Victorian garnet pin and soldiered it onto a 10K yellow gold band. It is a great fit. The band almost has the shape of a girl's school ring and is flat on top. The pin with the clasp and stick removed of course fits securely to it. The star measures 1-1/4" from end to end. The garnets are layered in three tiers. They are not set in gold. They seldom were. I think this ring looks fabulous on. What a gorgeous cocktail or dinner ring. It is just another way to appreciate a lovely antique. Good Condition with no damage to mention.
